Upcoming Field Trip on Veteran’s Day to the Albany Veterans’ Day Parade
You are invited! ECA will be honoring our veterans by taking students to the Albany Veteran’s Day Parade on November 11. We understand that your family may have other commitments on this holiday. For children who are able to come to school on Veterans’ Day, we will bus students to the parade and return mid afternoon. School will dismiss at 3:30 and there will be after-school for families that need it. Parents, if you would like to join us, you are welcome. Parents with background checks are able to ride the bus. Exact times and final details are being worked out, but we will share them with you as plans are finalized. You can learn more about this parade, the largest Veteran’s Day Parade west of the Mississippi, by clicking on the link below.
ECA’s Annual Thanksgiving Meal & Potluck is Coming!
You are invited! Every November, ECA’s Home & School works with volunteers to have a potluck lunch on our Friday 1/2 day Chapel. This is an invitation to your family, extended family, and friends to join us. Home & School will provide main entrees, but we are needing some help from you. Below, you will find a link to a Google share doc that allows you to sign up for an item you would like to share for the meal. We are planning on about 100 people to attend. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet others in our school family before you pick up your child for the 12:30 pickup. Lunch will begin a little after 11:00.

The NAD (North American Division of SDA) has recently shared new resources for children and teens that offer a safe and anonymous place to talk or text. Here is a news release from the NAD.
We’re excited to announce the launch of www.aruggedjourney.org our newest NAD site providing free online mentoring for guys. A Rugged Journey joins www.gorgeous2god.org (for young women) which has grown in its scope and ministry since its beginning in 2017.
These sites, along with their counterparts on social media, provide free help to our teens/young adults in a space they can ask questions without judgment or fear. The questions are answered by a team of dedicated Seventh-day Adventists at AIM on the campus of Andrews University.
In addition to the confidential Q & A, positive content is provided through videos, posts, etc.
