Another Angle
At ECA, our vision is that school families Love God, Value Learning, and Serve Others.
Hello ECA family,
This Monday, students will be receiving their yearbooks for the year. The theme for this year’s book is “Another Angle.” As we reflect back on this school year, our school takes a moment to share our thoughts on “Another Angle.”
Our lives are filled with moments and memories. When you look at all of the angles that go into every day, you can't stop but be amazed at the incredible connections that God uses to draw us closer to an eternity with our creator. These are special gifts from God. At ECA, we love God, value learning, and serve others. Just like a triangle with its three sides is an incredible source of strength, we see the power of taking these three angles of life and letting it guide our steps into the future. Our yearbook is a small look back on a year filled with new angles that happened every day. Alone, the pieces look small; however, when combined with a focus and mission - we see something larger and greater. Let the discoveries begin!
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." - James 1:17
Kindergarten Recognition Day
ECA will hold their annual Kindergarten recognition program on June 4. This morning program will follow with a short reception for our kindergarten students and their families in the homeroom classroom. This will be the last day of school for kindergarten students for the 2026 school year. For students in grades 1-8, there will still be one more week of school.
Library Books Need to be Returned This Week
If students have library books at home, they need to be returned this week. If there are any missing books, students will have overdue slips to help remind them to get books turned in. There will be a replacement charge for missing books, so please ask your child about library books this week.
ECA Year-End Reading Celebration - June 2
Students who have reached their class reading goals for the year will be going on a field trip to Bullwinkles Fun Center in Wilsonville, OR this Tuesday, June 2. We will leave right after school starts and get back around 4:30. If your child reached their yearly goals, an information sheet and permission slip went home last week. Please check with your child to see if they brought one home. We ask that you please fill out the form. Primarily, we need to know how many will be going up on the bus and returning on the bus. If you need another form sent out, please reach out to the office and we will get another sent home tomorrow. Students going will have lunch provided as part of the celebration day. Good job on a successful year of reading.
AG Class this Week
Students will be outdoors doing a variety of things with Mr. Wyatt Johnson. Throughout the year, there may be a few rainy days. Boots and gloves are great things for working outdoors on Monday Science Days. Water bottles are great things to have outside too. Here is a schedule of the days and classes:
Monday, June 1 - AG Class Grades K-2
Thursday, June 11 - ECA 8th Grade Class Graduation
ECA holds a graduation ceremony for the 8th grade class every June. All school families are invited to attend. This year’s program will begin at 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 11 at the Pleasant Hill SDA Church across from the school. We are proud of the accomplishments of all of our students; however, it is nice to celebrate the accomplishments of our students as they get ready for high school.
Friday, June 12 - 1/2 Day Friday & Last Day of School
ECA’s last day of school will be on Friday, June 12. The day will begin at 8:00 for students. We will have an all-school awards chapel in the gym at 8:30. This final chapel usually runs a little over one hour. Parents are invited. We will have an end-of-the-year slide show to celebrate a great year. During this time, school and classrooms awards are also handed out. Students are recognized for many different things. Additionally, the school also recognizes student achievement with scholarships for the upcoming year. This year, ECA is giving out nearly $8.000 in awards and scholarships that can be used to help with next year’s tuition.
The day will end at 12:30. There will be NO after-school program on that last 1/2 Friday. There will also be NO hot lunch on that last day.
Hot Lunch Menu for the Month
Hot lunch happens every Monday and Wednesday (except for this one week). Additionally, whenever we have a “regular” 1/2 Friday, hot lunch will be offered by our Home & School. You can click on the link below to order hot lunch for the week for your child. If you have more than one child, please click the link more than once and turn in one week’s submission for each child. There is a payment option that is included in the form.

We’re excited to announce the launch of www.aruggedjourney.org our newest NAD site providing free online mentoring for guys. A Rugged Journey joins www.gorgeous2god.org (for young women) which has grown in its scope and ministry since its beginning in 2017.
These sites, along with their counterparts on social media, provide free help to our teens/young adults in a space they can ask questions without judgment or fear. The questions are answered by a team of dedicated Seventh-day Adventists at AIM on the campus of Andrews University.
In addition to the confidential Q & A, positive content is provided through videos, posts, etc.
