Reflections on 2026
At ECA, our vision is that school families Love God, Value Learning, and Serve Others.
Hello ECA family,
Throughout this year, we have been excited to partner with your family and students. As we reflect back on the moments that made up this past school year, our hope is that we shared our school mission that students and families love God, value learning, and serve others. The science of reflection has a few different scientific laws that explain the process; however, when it comes down to it we reflect what we are shown. As your family goes into the summer, we wish our students and families blessings and opportunities as we all strive to reflect God’s love
Monday, June 8 - ASB Afternoon Games & Fun
On Monday, June 8, students in grades 5-8 will be having time in the afternoon for ASB-sponsored games. One thing that is planned is to have a water balloon fight. You can help make plans by packing an extra shirt for your grades 5-8 student.
Thursday, June 11 - Cleaning Up for the Year
On Thursday afternoon, students will be cleaning out desks, lockers, and classroom spaces. Please make sure students have a backpack or rugged bag that can be used to take things home. Additionally, if your child has any library or classroom books that need to be returned, please send them to school so book charges can be avoided.
Thursday, June 11 - ECA 8th Grade Class Graduation
ECA holds a graduation ceremony for the 8th grade class every June. All school families are invited to attend. This year’s program will begin at 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 11 at the Pleasant Hill SDA Church across from the school. We are proud of the accomplishments of all of our students; however, it is nice to celebrate the accomplishments of our students as they get ready for high school.
Friday, June 12 - 1/2 Day Friday & Last Day of School
ECA’s last day of school will be on Friday, June 12. The day will begin at 8:00 for students. We will have an all-school awards chapel in the gym at 8:30. This final chapel usually runs a little over one hour. Parents are invited. During this time, school and classroom awards are handed out. Students are recognized for many different things. Additionally, the school also recognizes student achievement with scholarships for the upcoming year. This year, ECA is giving out over $7,500 in awards and scholarships that can be used to help with next year’s tuition.
The day will end at 12:30. There will be NO after-school program on that last 1/2 Friday. There will also be NO hot lunch on that last day.
Final Quarter Report Cards / Final Monthly Statements
Even though school ends this Friday, teachers will be at school for part of next week. Report cards will be finalized and mailed out by next Friday, June 19. Final statements, if any accounts have a balance, will also be mailed out. Thank you for being faithful with your tuition payments and closing statements so we can end the school year on a positive, financial foundation.
Summer at ECA
This summer will be filled with events in our community both at school and away from school. Our local SDA churches often plan Vacation Bible School programs. Here is information on two of our city churches:
Springfield SDA Church - July 27-July 31; 6 pm each night, Plus a special closing service on Sab Aug 1 at 11 am. Our theme is Rome & The Underground Church. Address: 1630 N. 12th Springfield, OR 97477
Eugene SDA Church:
Oregon Old Time Fiddlers’ Association Concert- Monday, July 20 - ECA will be host to about 160 people for a week. On their first full evening, there is a free concert by the instructors for the attendees and the school community. Check the school calendar for starting times.
As this year winds down, we are beginning to make plans for a great year next year. The many exciting moments that have filled this year are a sign of great things to come. We are looking forward to continuing to share quality, Christian values and academics with our community.
We are starting to get phone calls for new families interested in our school. There is a way you can help too. In the past, we have marketed our school with yard signs. If you would like to pick up a yard sign to help with our summer marketing, just stop by the office and Lumi can provide you with one until supplies run out.
Additionally, we will be in the community in a couple more ways to share our school. We will have a display booth at the Springfield Children’s Festival on June 27. We will work with our local SDA churches to share our school’s mission during their VBS programs. If you would like to share our school with your church community, please reach out to our school office and we can provide you with pamphlets or digital media.
We are also looking for businesses or homes that would be interested in posting banners for our school. We have smaller and larger vinyl banners. Our larger banners are 5x16 feet. If you know of anyone that might be able to help us share our school’s vision, please call the office with information.
We will be continuing our social media campaign on Facebook and Instagram. Thank you for liking and sharing our reels and posts this past year and thank you for supporting our school as we continue to trust in God’s direction and seek ways to share a strong educational program and God’s love to families in our Willamette Valley.
Hot lunch happens every Monday and Wednesday. You can click on the link below to order hot lunch for the week for your child. If you have more than one child, please click the link more than once and turn in one week’s submission for each child. There is a payment option that is included in the form.

We’re excited to announce the launch of www.aruggedjourney.org our newest NAD site providing free online mentoring for guys. A Rugged Journey joins www.gorgeous2god.org (for young women) which has grown in its scope and ministry since its beginning in 2017.
These sites, along with their counterparts on social media, provide free help to our teens/young adults in a space they can ask questions without judgment or fear. The questions are answered by a team of dedicated Seventh-day Adventists at AIM on the campus of Andrews University.
In addition to the confidential Q & A, positive content is provided through videos, posts, etc.
