When things begin to bloom!
At ECA, our vision is that school families Love God, Value Learning, and Serve Others.
God wants our lives to bloom too!
One of my favorite memories from childhood is going into the flower garden and watering rose bushes with my mom. We had several bushes (at least 20) and keeping them pruned, nurtured properly, and watered in the summer evenings gave me one-on-one time with my mom. She was busy during the day babysitting 10-12 children every day, but she always found time for just me. Isn’t that how it is with God? We are often so busy in our lives that we don’t spend that one-on-one time with our creator. As we begin to see the seasons change, let’s all strive to see how we too can bloom when we spend time with God daily!
“For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before all the nations.” - Isaiah 61”11
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. - John 10:10
Front Office - Progress
We are making progress on filling our front-office position. As we continue this process, there will still be hours in the middle of the day when the office is empty. Thank you for your patience and flexibility.
The principal will be in the office during the first 15 minutes of every day, from 12:30-12:50, and during the last hour of the day.
The RING doorbell and office door cam are both tied to the principal’s phone. By ringing the center RING doorbell, you will reach the principal’s phone if you need assistance throughout the day.
4-Day Week & last week of school before Spring Break
This will be the last week of the third quarter. Be sure to remind students to get those AR points, math assignments, ELA stories, science and social studies projects finished up before this Thursday. Our next school newsletter will go out Sunday, March 29. As this quarter ends, all of us at ECA wish all of our families a restful and safe Spring Break. We look forward to beginning the new 4th quarter with all of you beginning March 30.
AG Program - Monday’s Science Class - A Repeat of Last Week
Tomorrow, our AG Class will be for grades 7&8 AGAIN. We had a water line break at school last Monday, and Mr. Wyatt was busy in the afternoon repairing the line. Students will be outdoors doing a variety of things with Mr. Wyatt Johnson. Throughout the year, there may be a few rainy days. Boots and gloves are great things for working outdoors on Monday Science Days. Water bottles are great things to have outside too. Here is a schedule of the days and classes:
Monday, March 16 - Grades 7&8
Monday, March 30 - Grades 5&6
K-4 Swimming Lessons Will Continue this week!
During the weeks of March 9-12 and March 16-19, students in grades K-4 will have swim lessons at the Willamalane Swim Center on Mohawk Boulevard in Springfield. The swim times M-Th will be from 10:35-11:35. Parents are welcome to come and watch children. Students should plan on bringing a swim suit and towel for each day in a swim bag.
We will be leaving school at 10:00 and taking the bus each day. There is no extra charge for these lessons. It is included in your child’s tuition.

These sites, along with their counterparts on social media, provide free help to our teens/young adults in a space they can ask questions without judgment or fear. The questions are answered by a team of dedicated Seventh-day Adventists at AIM on the campus of Andrews University.
In addition to the confidential Q & A, positive content is provided through videos, posts, etc.
