Our Report Card
At ECA, our vision is that school families Love God, Value Learning, and Serve Others.
Hello ECA family,
As a staff, we shared report cards for your children last week. As a school, we also received a report card. We are pleased to let you know that our school was recertified for a full 6-year term. This is the highest certification level offered. We look forward to growing as a school and continuing to set goals for high academic achievement as we keep our eyes focused towards God’s direction in our lives.
Make-up School Days Are Finalized and Scheduled
We are down to our last makeup day. It will be this Friday in May and will be 8:00 - 12:30 times. There will be no after-school program on this Friday. Home & School will provide an additional hot lunch.
Friday, May 3
Spring Emerald Expo
On Thursday, May 9, ECA will have their evening Emerald Expo. This Thursday evening program will highlight student work from throughout the year. Classrooms will be open and student projects will be on display. There will be a dinner provided for families by our school kitchen staff. There will be a meal charge for families. ALL proceeds from the evening meal will be used to update our two upstairs classrooms (Music Room & Bible Room). Final times will be posted next Sunday in our school newsletter.
Spring ECA Book Fair
To go along with our Spring Emerald Expo, we will be having a book fair at school next week. Books will be on display in the library and available for immediate purchase. Special thanks to our Home & School leaders and volunteers for helping this happen. Exact hours and details will be shared in our next newsletter.
Spring Music Program Date Change
Originally, our Spring music program was scheduled for the last week of May. We are needing to change that day to Tuesday, June 4.
8th Grade Bottle Drive Fundraiser
AG Program - Monday’s Science Class
Monday AG classes for this week will be grades K, 1&2. Students will be outdoors doing a variety of things with Mr. Wyatt Johnson. Throughout the year, there may be a few rainy days. Boots and gloves are great things for working outdoors on Monday Science Days. Water bottles are great things to have outside too. Here is a schedule of the days and classes:
Monday, April 29 - Grades K-2
Monday, May 6- Grades 3&4
Monday, May 13 - No AG Class / Program this week
Monday, May 20 - Grades 5&6
Monday, June 3 - Grades 7&8

The updated menu for each month is posted at the beginning of every month on the school website. Here is the menu for the last week of April and the full month of May.
Please place all orders for each week before Monday morning at 8:45.

students in grades K-2 - $5,
students in grades 3-8 - $6.

Christian Counseling Available - Free Resources:
The NAD (North American Division of SDA) has recently shared new resources for children and teens that offer a safe and anonymous place to talk or text. Here is a news release from the NAD.
We’re excited to announce the launch of www.aruggedjourney.org our newest NAD site providing free online mentoring for guys. A Rugged Journey joins www.gorgeous2god.org (for young women) which has grown in its scope and ministry since its beginning in 2017.
These sites, along with their counterparts on social media, provide free help to our teens/young adults in a space they can ask questions without judgment or fear. The questions are answered by a team of dedicated Seventh-day Adventists at AIM on the campus of Andrews University.
In addition to the confidential Q & A, positive content is provided through videos, posts, etc.
