We rely on your generosity.
Can we just stop for a second and ohh and ahhh at all this hard work from the Auction Committee and volunteers…let’s give them a round of applause. I want to take some time to engage you in what I’m excited about at Emerald Christian Academy.
Attention
How many ECA alums do we have here?? Awesome, awesome. I love hearing your stories—and some of you have told me some pretty phenomenal stories. I can’t wait to hear more. I have a theory. I believe that people who become educators and people, like you, who support education do so for 2 reasons: 1. You loved your experience in school OR 2. You hated your experience in school. In one instance you want to extend the amazing experience you had on to the next generation or 2. You want to be a protection from an educational space that brought harm to you—and you want to make sure that doesn’t extend to the next generation.
Need
Whatever the reason may be. We can all collectively agree at the importance of educational spaces. We can all agree that Christ-centered spaces have a greater burden to exemplify that which they claim to be about. Christ-centered spaces are not cute and fuzzy places.
Satisfaction
Schools are society shaping. Schools are the incubators for ideas and Ideas are dangerous things folks. They have the potential to cure cancer, advocate for their disabled child, build skyscrapers, organize county services for new moms, provide clean water to villages, stabilize national economies, invent new technologies to stabilize NICU babies, topple dictatorships. The revolutionaries and visionaries that have the audacity to push past the nay-sayers and doubters must exhibit an emotional resilience and a dogged determination that their hard work and IDEA can mean something to the world around them.
My hope is that we are the type of school that is a safe incubator for these ideas that our learners are forming.
Visualization
I am committed to working alongside you to make sure that at Emerald Christian Academy we are nurturing and growing these spiritual revolutionaries. That we show them the that they have all the forces of heaven rooting for them, just as we are rooting for them. That we are determined to provide thoughtful, beautiful, safe physical spaces for them to be nurtured in. That above all, we want them to know that they are fearfully and wonderfully made and we can’t wait to see how they change our lives for the better.
Action
Today I’m asking you to walk shoulder to shoulder with the staff at Emerald Christian Academy. I’m asking you to support us as we enthusiastically research and integrate solid academic curriculum, I’m asking you to support as we blow past new paint and lighting, but think about creating spaces that are multi-functional in supporting our learners AND welcoming their families in participating and engaging in the learning environment. I’m asking you to support our learners who deserve to explore the limits of their imaginations and do so in an environment where we honor the one that created them to have such imaginations. Thank you for the embrace of community that is essential to everything we do at Emerald Christian Academy.
Emerald Christian Academy relies on the support and involvement of our entire school community—board members, parents, alumni, staff, parents of alumni, grandparents and friends. Through special events and a coordinated fundraising effort, we provide a variety of meaningful ways for you to become involved in the life of our school.
Your volunteerism and contributions forge a partnership that guarantees success for our students from early childhood education to Grade 10.
Your gift strengthens our school and is an important investment in Emerald Christian Academy’s future.
Tuition does not cover the actual cost
We are committed to providing a dynamic learning environment staffed by dedicated and experienced teachers. We offer this at a cost that is subsidized by our fundraising efforts to ensure all of our students will benefit from the richness of the Emerald Christian Academy experience.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Our school, like 99% of all independent schools, relies heavily on the generosity of our constituents. Contributions to our fundraising campaigns bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of operating the school. Augmenting tuition through charitable gifts helps keep tuition at a competitive rate, provides many important programs and improvements that are essential to successfully fulfilling our mission, while maintaining the small, close-knit community that makes Emerald Christian Academy such a special place.
INCOME TAX DEDUCTION
Financial support of Emerald Christian Academy provides an opportunity for you to receive an income tax deduction on any gift to our school to the extent allowed by the law.
