Ready for 2026!

At ECA, our vision is that school families Love God, Value Learning, and Serve Others.

Getting the Word Out…

Perhaps you have heard the saying “Loose lips sink ships,” or “Even the walls have ears.” During WWII, keeping things quiet about the war machine was an important way of life for the allies and citizens in the countries. As we start this new year of 2026, we are excited about Jesus and want to share his love with everyone. I hope you share the good news during this new year!

“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. - Mark 6:15

Getting the Word Out about ECA too for Our Upcoming Winter Visitation Day!

We are excited about the growth our school program has had over the past couple years. Our MAP testing continues to show growth and accomplishment well above national average standards with a low student/teacher ratio. Our school year is filled with great opportunities and activities for our students and families. We value our community and support our school families with community events. Our Home & School Organization is very active and supportive. Classroom outings include field trips, Bible Camp, 6th grade outdoor school, elementary swim lessons, and more. We have yearly mission and educational tours (including trips to Mexico, the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, Washington D.C., New York city, Hawaii, and the western U.S. states). We have an active community outreach program that shows students the importance of service. Our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) program offers new discoveries for all grades. In the past year, our AG program has grown in size and offers weekly AG science classes. We have an after-school program. Music has a big place at ECA. Campus security has improved with new security cameras. Our technology infrastructure has been upgraded. Over Christmas vacation, our playground safety mats were delivered and we are working with a contractor to have them installed this month. We keep our mission statement and core values in focus to help us as we continue to grow.

Unfortunately, we don’t always share a good thing though. It’s like that secret, beautiful hike you don’t want everyone to know about. Well, we are looking for ways to share our school’s vision with our community and you can help. We will be having our ECA Winter Visitation Day in ONE MONTH, on February 13. We need your help to get the word out! Did you know you have amazing power to make a huge difference?

AG Program - Monday’s Science Class

This week’s AG program is for grades 1&2 Students will be outdoors doing a variety of things with Mr. Wyatt Johnson. Throughout the year, there may be a few rainy days. Boots and gloves are great things for working outdoors on Monday Science Days. Water bottles are great things to have outside too. Here is a schedule of the days and classes:

Monday, January 5 - Grades K-2

Monday, January 12 - Grades 7&8

Monday, January 26 - Grades 5&6

5-Day School Week

Now that we are back to school, we are starting with a 5-day week. Technically, this is the second Friday of the month, and those are the traditional 1/2 Fridays and chapels. We will have after-school all five days this week. Just a reminder, that whenever we have 1/2 Day Chapel Fridays, we do have after school until 2:30 on those days. For students not staying after school, pickup will be 12:30.

Citizenship & Monthly Chapels

Every month, we focus on one of our school’s key values or missions. In September, we focused on growth mindset. October brought our love for God and others to the forefront. December and early January highlights serving others. For children, doing little things at home, school, and church are great opportunities to grow.

Christian Counseling Available - Free Resources:

The NAD (North American Division of SDA) has recently shared new resources for children and teens that offer a safe and anonymous place to talk or text. Here is a news release from the NAD.

We’re excited to announce the launch of www.aruggedjourney.org our newest NAD site providing free online mentoring for guys. A Rugged Journey joins www.gorgeous2god.org (for young women) which has grown in its scope and ministry since its beginning in 2017.

These sites, along with their counterparts on social media, provide free help to our teens/young adults in a space they can ask questions without judgment or fear. The questions are answered by a team of dedicated Seventh-day Adventists at AIM on the campus of Andrews University.

In addition to the confidential Q & A, positive content is provided through videos, posts, etc.
